American actress and pop music singer, Lindsay Dee Lohan popularly known as Lindsay Morgan Lohan was born July 2, 1986 in New York, New York City, USA. Lindsay is the eldest daughter of Dina, a former Radio City “Rockette”, and Michael, a long-time Wall Street trader soon inherited a family pasta business which was used to fund and develop major studios and independent Hollywood productions.
Lindsay has three younger siblings, Michael who had a role as “Lost Boy at Camp” in “The Parent Trap”, Aliana who is an aspiring model and actress and Dakota (Cody) a fashion model. Lohan’s family was financially comfortable but despite of the damily’s wealth Lindsay attended public schools in Long island. Lindsay started her career when she was merely a three year old child. She became a child fashion model. She was the first redheaded child ever signed by the prestigious Ford Modeling Agency.
People just can’t ignore the talent Lindsay Lohan have shown. She represents more than 60 commercials including spots for Pizza Hut, Wendy’s and Jell-O. At age ten, she began acting in soap opera. It was 1993 when she appear in a Halloween skit with David Letterman, dressed as garbage (”Things You Find on the Floor of the D-Train”). Impressed with her talent she became part of the NBC-TV series “Another World” becoming the third actress - in late 1996 and early 1997 - to play “Alexandra ‘Alli’ Fowler”. Lindsay got her break at acting on January 1997 when she got the starring role, playing as “the twins” in a major motion picture “The Parent Trap”. Lindsay, at age of eleven then, proved that she is an actress with extensive skill, deftly handling two different personalities in one single movie. She successfully proved her acting talent when she earned her Young Artist Award for Leading Actress, and nominations for a Young Star Award and a Blockbuster Entertainment Award.
As Lindsay Lohan’s fame continued to grow, she filmed another movie in 1999, “Life-Size” with Tyra Banks. In 2000 she was given the role of “Rose” in a television sitcom “Bette” but soon gave it up when the show’s producer moved the filming from New York to Los Angeles. In 2001, Lindsay completed filming “Get a Clue”, the Disney Channel Original Movie of the Month. On July 2002 Lindsay signed a contract with Walt Disney Pictures to play Anna Coleman in the theatrical remake of Freaky Friday with Jamie Lee Curtis. Another Disney movie, 2003’s “Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen” was starred by Lindsay. Later in 2003, she got the leading role in 2004’s “Mean Girls”, which revealed her professional and personal lives that includes her parents’ marital and legal struggles.
Just like most celebrities, Lohan and her family have gone through public scrutiny of their private lives, until late 2005, Linday’s parents have settled their divorce. Despite of what happened, Lohan pursued her career. Aside from acting, Lohan’s lifelong dream is to become a singer, and was granted when Emilio Estefan, Jr. took Lindsay under his professional wing, promising an aggressive effort to “sell” her pop style “with a rock edge” to a major record label.In mid-2004, Lohan signed a recording contract with Casablanca Records. She recorded her debut album “Speak”. The Album was successful that it made it’s way up to #2 on the Billboard charts and later made it to Platinum.
Lindsay Lohan enjoys her career being an actress as well as a pop music singer. As an adult, she began to take more serious roles and projects. Returning to Disney, Lohan, at age 19 then, got the role in the fifth film of the long-run dormant Herbie series, 2005’s “Herbie: FUlly Loaded”. She said they’ll see her here getting older and maturing. Just like her previous movies, people just loved it and “Fully Loaded” did well at the box office. As for romance, it was rumored that Lindsay had a catfight with Hilary over their relationship with singer Aaron Carter, but later cleared by the two that there was no feud. Numerous romantic rumors followed, that linked even the name of Bruce Willis, Nicole Richie, Paris and Nicky Hilton where she said they just go out to have fun. And now, this Freaky Friday star, was rumored that she and her current boyfriend Harry Morton was planning for wedding after Harry gave her a ring rumored to be an engagement ring which is not. Entrepeneur Morton was spotted buying the ring at Cartier in Beverly Hills. Lohan’s mother Dina cleared that the couple are not planning a wedding.
